You should have been taking pictures Darry! Good luck hunting! Sorry to report but our John Townsend
is not a Mayflower Descendant of the Pilgrim John Howland…he was a 3rd cousin of the descendant…and
a REV WAR Patriot! So now we have another Patriot, this on Mom's mother's side of the
family. The first was William Rockefeller on Dad's mother's side.

Seen a doe and a dink under Nick's stand tonight. Had a doe and 2 button bucks then a doe and a
dink and the another doe and 2 button bucks on the pile Sunday morning. Had all 8 in different parts
of the field at the same time. So they weren't the same ones. Had a big 4-point come in Friday
night. Heading to Walhala Thursday. Maybe the 4-point I let live last year will be back and bigger.

After a night of howling wind, this may be the end of our color show! The shot of the butterfly
garden at the Charlevoix Public Library was just good luck, captured it when I went to the
farmer's market IN the library! Pillars are repaired & painted. G is doing OK, liked the
new poster, likes the hospice staff, but still thinks about getting back home…OH, we have lights!

If Dad could jump a fox, I can jump a deer, right? Lewie we need a few fall shots of your place!
Left for Florida on this day last year, might be a couple more weeks…to BC in the morning.

That's pretty good to be able to jump over 4 deer . We had three in the yard eating acorns but
I didn't try jumping over them as I would have ended up in the river

Aunt Mary is at Mather Nursing Home, 435 Stoneville Rd, Ishpeming, MI 49849. She still wants to go
to Dubuque but hasn't gotten there yet. Said April had a stroke, didn't know how she was
doing. Nice to talk with A. Mary again, will send her a card.

Walked to the cemetery to get these shots of maples, sure had a good time on Saturday, you'd
think I got my buck, no just fun seeing everyone. Going to BC today, getting things done! Framing a
Charlevoix poster for Gayland's room, he sure liked coming up here, last summer we ate supper
at the Weathervane! Have a great day!

Scroll backwards from our lunch at Kelsey B's at Ferry Beach, to Bolts, Friskee's &
Bier Gallery. Sure was nice to see you guys, in spite of the weather at Applefest this morning. It
was a beautiful afternoon!
