Our cousin the dulcimer lady, Alice Aileen Parry just sent a note that her brother Floyd McWethy of
Midland died yesterday. He had been sick for some time, so not a surprise. She is still spunky as
ever! Her aunt was Grandma Nina Marie Lason Parks, Grandpa Nort's wife.

Big Mac is 60 years old this year! My neighbor Sandy asked if I remembered this photo of the bridge
construction. Completed Nov 1, 1957, we crossed it Summer of 1958 to visit Grandma at Chatham. She
died Nov 1959, this may have been our last visit... The bridge shot was one taken for my 4-H
Photography project...just a kid!

Dropped books off at the library & saw these pretty annuals! Then couldn't resist the
tulips at Fresh Market, and the walnuts... First match is Saturday, 65 doubles! Then we

The Ishpeming Cemetery graveside service for Aunt Mary will be on Friday, May 5th at 2:00pm. Shannon
will notify family members... the florist will email me a pix of the flower arrangement we sent from
the family...hope to visit the cemetery when we go up Aug 5th for John & Gladys' wedding,
the community is invited...if you can make it to Gwinn, bring a dish to pass...you will be welcome!

Soccer and lacrosse from the weekend. Zane is very happy to be entrusted with the 6 foot long
"D-pole" in lacrosse. The kid he slashed on the helmet not so much! "2 minutes, no
releasable!". Like a major penalty in hockey. Our picture lady should be sending me a shot of
that one soon.

Maple Leafs are on tonight! Aunt Mary has arrived in the UP, well her ashes are here. The graveside
service will be in the first week of May. Flowers were ordered and will still be pretty if you visit
over the summer...nice florist next to the cemetery helped me decide on a silk arrangement that
wouldn't topple over in the wind...it was snowing as we spoke!
